Best Machine Inc. produces precision turned components for instrumentation, sensor, medical-device and industrial assemblies. Our turning centers are built for repeatable work on shafts, housings, bushings, threaded parts and components that need clean concentricity from run to run.

Live tooling, Y-axis machining, sub-spindle workholding and bar-feed automation let us combine turning, drilling, milling and secondary features in one controlled process. That reduces handling, protects tolerance stackups and keeps production moving cleanly.

Because milling and turning live under the same roof, we can route complex parts through the right mix of machines instead of forcing the design into one process.

What is CNC turning used for?

CNC turning produces round, concentric parts like shafts, bushings, housings and threaded components. It’s the right process whenever a part needs to be symmetric around a central axis.

What tolerances can you hold on turned parts?

Our turning centers use live tooling, Y-axis machining and sub-spindle transfer to hold tight concentricity run to run, and every part can be verified on our Renishaw-equipped CMM before it ships.

What materials can you turn?

We regularly turn aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, high-strength alloys, brass and engineering plastics, from prototype quantities through repeat production runs.

What’s the difference between CNC turning and Swiss turning?

CNC turning on our Doosan and Mazak centers suits larger-diameter parts and short-to-medium runs. Swiss turning uses guide-bushing machines for small-diameter, high-volume parts with very tight tolerances. See our Swiss turning page for details.

Do you offer both prototype and production turning?

Yes. Our turning centers run everything from one-off prototypes to repeat production, with bar feed automation available for higher-volume jobs.
